Ugly!

What is beauty?
That in its pursuit we crash and shatter like bones
It is not the measurement of a human's soul, accomplishments, love, bravery or wisdom
Nor their strength or the meaning of their existence
But merely the reaction of one's eye to the proportions and angles of another's features
Purely physical, purely illusions
But we all strive and die for this word
For this meaning to become a part of who we are
Although it could mean nothing to whom we really are.

Just wondering -Niloo Farahzadeh

Romeo and Juliet, Act II, Scene VI

"These violent delights have violent ends, which in their triumph, die like fire and powder, which as they kiss, consume. Even the sweetest honey is lonesome in its deliciousness, therefore love moderately."

Well mother dear, we're not the fortunate ones...

These pictures are really shitty quality because I left my good camera at one of my friends house.... without it's lens cap! I know I almost couldn't make it through the week. I felt like a parent worrying about its child. Pfft kids.

True Love Waits in Haunted Basements

It's all a tale
I don't invent the settings or places
But true love waits in haunted basements
Deeper by the chord
Deeper by the minute
Within the limits of linens, walls and manufactured reality
In sobriety between wild nights
What everyone's saying
Line by line
Twisted, inverted, transformed
Do you feel it inside you?
This spell casted upon you
I'm the one chanting it
And you read this, speechless of how we both feel as one
Words like movement
Fluidity of thoughts in brackets and semicolons
But I do not speak as a higher being
As a guideline, preacher or an idol
I am you
Just for a few minutes
Pretend, as we read
Like our tongues are touching
Intertwining our stories
As if we were paintings in a chapel
Connected somehow
But I am just a word lover
A manipulator in a basement
You, a midnight browser
Lost somehow and searching for direction
And after this line, we will be completely disconnected.

Written by ME! OF COURSE!

I wrote this last night and I think I love it. (I'm allowed to like my own things! It's a very healthy thing! YES I said healthy!)

Philosophy Part Two

We are all takers
We are breathers and eaters
Drilling for golds that our hearts lack
So swiftly we will steal
So slowly to replace
Like a race
Each to his own;
Owns stolen from others
Every beat to be fed
Misled, to believe in a change
Like PEACE is just a piece of bread we eat
And we only clean the table because we lie to ourselves
That we are better, stronger
Human, not animal
But animals give
Do I give?
Give to make HAPPY
The ultimate goal to justify our needs
Happy by EVIL
By stealing, by breathing
By eating and taking
From each other, for each other
Just for HAPPY
Circle after circle
Where is the straight line?
The straight line is this:
DEATH

" I am not young enough to know everything."
                  -Oscar Wilde

To Deal Gently

Hello daytime talkshow material
This is society's fist in the air
I clear the table, the argument's new
But the stench of old values still make noses flair
Droplets of anger stream down our faces
Racing past our features scrunched by fear
We hold our walls together like churches and crosses
Trying to keep out everything that's real
Birthmarks left scars on our backs that survived the ages
But all complexions facing the future are soothed
Thus mixing a life of the past and the present
Without providing a blender to render it smooth
Though I have done well balancing so many truths
Applying wisdom of all times to the changes that come
But sometimes I dream with power and youth
That history and destiny could someday be one.

I wrote this poem late last night. I was inspired by a conversation with a friend.
